Excellent application

The product spreads evenly, even in hard-to-reach areas, substantially neutralises the Faraday cage effect and allows both atomising pressure and product flow to be reduced.

Perfect finishes

Fewer defects (pinholes, dirt inclusions and orange peel), more uniform film thickness, less loaded edges, and less dust settling on already coated surfaces.

A real case with electrostatic coating

Electrostatic coating without

Raw material weighed before the coating stage:
• 2 kg of white polyurethane topcoat
• 1 kg (50% of the white topcoat) of medium-solid aliphatic hardener
• 0.30 kg (15% of the white topcoat) of solvent
Stage I: first coat using 50% of the mix, application time approx. 15 min
Stage II: 15 min flash-off
Stage III: second coat using the remaining 50% of the mix, application time approx. 15 min
Final thickness after drying: 90 to 110 microns
The upper edge shows a heavier build of paint.
The inner part of the piece is thinner because of the Faraday cage effect. Pronounced orange peel.

Electrostatic coating with

Raw material weighed before the coating stage:
• 2 kg of white polyurethane topcoat
• 1 kg (50% of the white topcoat) of medium-solid aliphatic hardener
• 0.20 kg (10% of the white topcoat) of solvent
Stage I: first coat using 50% of the mix, application time approx. 12 min
Stage II: 10 min flash-off
Stage III: second coat using the remaining mix, application time approx. 12 min. Mix left over: 0.354 kg
Final thickness after drying: 100 to 105 microns
The edge is far more uniform.
The fold is also fuller and more even. No orange peel.
